C.H. Hanson Acquires Brodbeck Ironworks, Expanding Solutions for Metalworkers and Bladesmiths

Naperville, IL — July 31, 2026 — C.H. Hanson announced the acquisition of the assets of Brodbeck Ironworks, an American manufacturer of modular belt grinding systems serving metalworkers and bladesmiths. Together, the two companies share a commitment to American manufacturing, quality craftsmanship, and developing innovative solutions alongside the skilled craftsmen who rely on them every day.

Founded in 2018 by engineer and bladesmith Ryan Brodbeck, Brodbeck Ironworks built its reputation by listening to bladesmiths and solving real shop challenges with durable, modular systems designed to evolve as their craft grows.

He will lead product development initiatives across the C.H. Hanson family of brands, helping drive innovation through direct collaboration with the professionals who use them.
